As promised today I will present you the Haute Couture collections at Pasarela Larios - Malaga Fashion Week 2015. I will begin with Miguel Angel Ruiz who kindly granted me an interview. His collection is called Air 2015. "The name comes up spontaneously, almost as the collection itself would have chosen" explained the designer from Malaga.
"I wanted to design a fluid collection, dynamic, sensual, by using falling tissues . When I started designing it I thought about creating some dresses with very architectural lines on the bodies in contrast with the skirts movement. However, he did not want them to be too heavy. So the idea of using subtle transparencies, made with silk tulle."
Originality, always present in the collections of Miguel Angel Ruiz, in this case is based on drawing on the tulle geometric lines that produce the feeling of being drawn on the skin. As himself explains: "It is definitely an Haute Couture work."
Air as space between the lines. "With this concept we set the first four designs in the collection and decided to make a radical change with a short dress worked with endless circular sheets of silk organza, creating a very attractive volume in the skirt." This is the dress for the most romantic women.
Here you are two models for the most determined ones : "Then, we present two designs which are a reinterpretation of the first four, not worked with Japanese gauze (fluid), but with a more solid and voluminous tissues (doupion natural silk combined with silk tulle)."
I must confess ... my favorite one in this collection is: "A golden dress part of the Air collection (silk tulle) and coordinated with jakard Japanese chiffon brocade, worked with a large number of embroidered golden daisies."
The ideal dress for the most sober women: " Finally we present a black dress with a linear cut and authentic Chanel lace, in harmony with the whole collection philosophy.
And at the end it could not miss the wedding dress: "Very representative of our brand, the wedding dress is elegant with very structured and pures lines. Worked in duchess satin and adorned with embroidered leaves in pure Air collection style, drawn on the skin."
The key features of this collection faithfully reflect the basics of the brand, as Ruiz says they are: "cohesion in all designs - there is a thread that makes all our collections as a whole. Elegance, simplicity, creativity and Haute Couture architecture and manufacture that strives for perfection."
I want to thank Miguel Angel Ruiz for the time he has dedicated to me and congratulate him once again for his great work. When I come back from Milan I will be glad to accept his invitation to see his Atelier and creations more closely. Here you can enjoy some pictures of Matteo Tortello and the video of the fashion show with this innovative collection.
